Marcos Owners Club
Memebership Fees for 2026
The Marcos Owners Club is the original club for anyone owning or interested in Marcos cars and was founded in 1972.
Our aim is to keep as many Marcos cars on the road as possible and we achieve this by offering owners technical support and help, as well as securing discounts and offers on services and parts. In the coming year you will see lots more of these appearing in our magazine, on the web site and in the Enewsletter as we secure advantageous discounts for members. The club is also a great community for owners to engage with other members and meet up at local and national events.
50th ANNIVERSARY
In 2022 we celebrated a major landmark, the Clubs 50th anniversary and it is a testament to the marque that there is still an interest in owning, and being part of a very special group who keep these much prestigeous, much sought after British sports cars running.
In the last fifteen years the MOC has seen significant transformations. The club's magazine is now the envy of many much larger clubs and our social media has been and is still being developed.
In the last decade we have put on some great events, the Marcos 50th Anniversary at Prescott Hill Climb, and the Prescott Revival events that followed, Curbporough Sprint, Donington Revisited, Silverstone Festival stands, our own 50th Anniversary and Marcos 60th, as well as Club stands at the Le Mans Classic & the Classic British Welcome. Our indoor stands at venues such as the NEC, are award winning and we are invited to display alongside the likes of Ferrari, Bentley, Bugatti, Jaguar and Lamborghini.
But, the club needs funds to function. The club is a 'not for profit' organisation and as such non of those that run and help run the club are paid. Many members fund things out of their own pockets and don't ask for reimbursment.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
Membership fees are our income and have remained unchanged since 2012. Even though everything else has risen in price. Rightly or wrongly, the club has absorbed those increases. Sadly that is no longer an option and we must now increase club fees to a more realistic level. It is not something we do lightly as it does cause disruption and potentially a lot of work for our Membership Secretary. We also know that an increase in subscription can result in a loss of some members, that we can ill afford and it takes us a while to build it back up.
We don't want that to be you.

HERE"S THE 'STAT"S BIT"
According to the Bank of Englands inflation caculator, £30 in 2012 is the equivalent of £44 today (Sept 2025) that's around a 46% increase.
Unfortunately, other costs have risen by far more for example, postage and printing costs, and those we often forget about, insurance, web services, and subscriptions...
Postage has risen by a massive 250% since 2012. 1st Class postage was 90p but in 2025 that has risen to £3.25. (Price based on large letter 101 - 250g in the UK). Overseas postage has increased to £5.80 in the EU. We now post out second class to UK members as one way of cutting costs but that is still far more than we previuosly paid.
Over the past eighteen months we have reviewed other clubs membership fees. Clubs we know that some MOC members belong to as a comparison. Although it is difficult to compare club fees in this way because of differences in membership numbers, membership types, joining fees, online only publication and services etc. We have included some of the more well known clubs here for comparison. These prices were correct as of August 2025:

NEW FEES FROM APRIL 2026
In order to maintain and develop our services, the club membership fees will increase on, and including, April 1st 2026
The NEW annual UK Membership will still be only £48 p/a and the Rest of the World £58,
(the ROW difference is to cover more expensive overseas postal costs)
That is less than a pound a week for UK members.
This is still exceptional value in comparison to the fees listed above and consider what else you might get in todays market, It's not even a tankful of fuel!
As a valued club member here is what you will need to do now:
Contact your bank or use your Banking App to change the amount you pay before the 1st of April 2026.
If you still pay by cheque or Bank Transfer, simply deposit the correct membership fee on your renewal date, and don't forget to let us know.

If you pay the incorrect amount we will contact you to advise you of this and how you can pay the balance. Payment through some services might incur a surcharge(s). PayPal for example.
*Until the balance is paid, your membership will be changed to ‘Associate’ & no publications will be sent.
Aprils issue of Torque will be little later than normal to allow us to collate April's subscriptions and contact anyone who did not change their standing order.
